NEW YORK (July 18, 2023) — TEG Consulting, the search firm and talent consultancy specializing in digital infrastructure, technology, healthcare, professional services, and private equity, has recruited Kurt Van Wagenen as the new chief executive officer of Summit Broadband, a Florida-based fiber optics telecommunications leader. Summit is a portfolio company of Grain Management, a leading private investment firm that focuses on broadband infrastructure and technology companies.

Van Wagenen is a serial CEO and 30-year veteran in the telecommunications industry with a background in corporate strategy and integration, engineering and operations, and consumer sales and service. He has successfully implemented substantial expansion strategies for leading telecommunications companies, and as CEO, Van Wagenen will focus on furthering the footprint of Summit’s state-of-the-art fiber optic network to more customers.

The CEO search was led by Jill Greenblat, partner, who specializes in recruiting executive talent in the digital infrastructure sector. The Digital Infrastructure practice focuses on sourcing leaders that can transform organizations, empower teams, enable growth, and scale while maximizing performance.

Prior to joining Summit, Van Wagenen was president, CEO and board chair of FirstLight Fiber. He is a chartered financial analyst and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.
