NEW YORK (August 9, 2023) — TEG Consulting, the search firm and talent consultancy specialized in technology, healthcare, professional services, and private equity, has recruited Dr. Mary Buss as the new vice president of veterinary operations (VPVO) of Hometown Veterinary Partners, a group of new veterinary hospitals building and hiring across the United States. Hometown Veterinary Partners is a portfolio company of Briarcliff Capital Partners, a middle market private equity firm that invests in healthcare and consumer services companies.

Dr. Buss has over three decades of tenure in the veterinary field, and has robust experience leading, innovating and optimizing veterinary hospitals and their teams. She has a strong focus on providing mentorship, professional development, and building culture. As VPVO, she will drive operational excellence by enhancing processes, building scalable strategies to achieve national growth, and developing veterinary talent.

Prior to joining Hometown Veterinary Partners, Dr. Buss held director of medical services growth and director of medical services integration titles at MedVet. In addition, she was the co-founder of the Midwest Veterinary Referral Center and has held multiple veterinary and veterinary administration roles. Dr. Buss holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Vermont, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri – College of Veterinary Medicine, and an MBA from Washington State University.
