The Hospitalian

Hospitality is not thinking of yourself, it’s thinking of others. This service mindset genuinely describes Christine, who is known around here for her listening, empathy, and quick-thinking. As if by magic, she gets everyone what they need and makes them feel good in the process. Christine fittingly grew her management career in the fine dining world followed by years in special event and conference management. When she does pamper herself, her favorite sunny destination to visit, by far, is Aruba. In any city she travels to, she leans into her passion for hospitality by trying out new wineries and breweries.

Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don’t want to. Richard Branson

Christine Nelis is an award-winning project manager with over thirty years of client management, event planning, and team building expertise in the hospitality sector.

At TEG Consulting, Christine pulls on these dynamic skills as she works to ensure every client and candidate has a superb experience working with us. Her integral involvement in a search involves handling executive communications, coordinating deliverables on time, and improving workflows. In short, she keeps everyone moving seamlessly in the same direction — to deliver high impact hires.

Christine joins TEG from Omni Hotels & Resorts. Following a series of promotions over two decades, she most recently served as director of catering and convention services. She held full responsibility for planning and executing on all events in this role, including building a high-performing events team, managing the department budget, and reporting into ownership. She holds a B.S., Hotel, Restaurant, Institutional Management from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Christine recently moved from Nashville to her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. While she misses Music City, she is excited to be back in the City of Champions to cheer on the black gold (Penguins and Steelers). In her free time, she takes kickboxing classes, hits the slopes on her skis, and dives into good books—particularly any and all written by Stephen King.
