Shinemon is the owner of TEG Consulting, where he is responsible for the overall direction and performance of the business, with a particular focus on expanding the firm’s client base and strengthening its market presence. He works closely with the team to build on TEG’s strong foundation in search execution while driving a more proactive, outbound approach to business development.
Before joining TEG, Shinemon founded and scaled multiple ventures across geographies. He launched a marketing firm in Tokyo that grew into a $20M business, demonstrating an early ability to build and scale organizations from the ground up. He later founded Akiyama Capital, a New York-based search fund, continuing his focus on identifying and growing high-potential businesses.
Outside of work, he is driven by intellectual exploration, currently reading across disciplines such as chemistry and quantum physics, and maintains a passion for both the arts and athletics. A trilingual speaker of Japanese, English, and French, he is also an accomplished cellist and Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner, competing in tournaments and recently returning to formal music training.
