Q&A with Kristin
1. Tell us about your path here. Why did you choose to join TEG Consulting?
I dedicated nearly two decades of my professional life to the hospitality industry, with the latter half of my journey focused on meticulous event planning. I reached a pivotal point in my career where I sought a fresh challenge: a new role in a different industry where my skill set could seamlessly transition, and where my contributions to the organization would be truly meaningful. My expertise in project management and experience interviewing candidates and evaluating their profiles meshed exceptionally well in the world of recruiting, and I found a perfect opportunity to exercise my breadth and depth of experience at TEG Consulting.
2. Describe a day in your life. Favorite parts of your job?
Each day is unique, and the variability is one of the aspects I love the most! I begin my day with a workout to invigorate my mind and body, and shortly after my workday begins with addressing client, candidate, and consultant communications. In tandem, I coordinate with search partners to juggle outreach, meetings, and scheduling, along with preparing necessary documentation.
To add further variety to the day, I dedicate time to projects whenever I have the opportunity – whether it involves collaborating with a partner on a pitch deck, enhancing tools and resources, or finding ways to optimize our processes with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
3. What is special about working here?
I feel deeply appreciated by my team, particularly given my background outside the industry prior to joining TEG. I have felt empowered to voice my opinions and ideas, and have been supported at each step as I strive to bolster our team's cohesion and the quality of our work.
4. How has TEG Consulting helped you grow and perform at your best?
The encouragement and unwavering support I receive from my team has inspired me to consistently deliver my best performance. Being surrounded by exceptional consultants has fueled my determination to improve continually, as I aspire to be an equal partner in our collaborations.
5. In what ways - big or small - do you live out our mission of unleashing human potential?
I actively embody our mission of unleashing human potential through impactful communication, recognizing its pivotal role in understanding the needs and desires of others. I attentively listen to our clients as they articulate their vision for an ideal hire, and I engage with candidates, encouraging them to explore new opportunities while maintaining complete transparency throughout the entire process.
6. What advice do you have for people looking to join TEG Consulting? What qualities do people need to be successful here?
My advice to future prospects would be to always be your authentic self and be prepared to make a significant impact on others’ lives! In my observation, the most successful individuals at TEG and Acertitude are those who are flexible, proactive, curious, confident, and empathetic.
